Heh, don't worry, I left too because I was on my own ... But I noticed that most people just stood there staring at him, which is not really the point of a DJ set. Confused

hehe, when i went to the DJ Set a few years ago, i stood with my back to the DJ-Desk and pretended to be cool and being not at all there just for Jarvis (and i flew in from Hamburg just for the event) :-) Cocker wasn't too amused about some girls who turned up for autographs and the usual "have a piccie with me"-requests, as he wanted to concentrate on his set. I was really proud of myself as i didn't pester him. Only talked to Steve Mackey briefly as i had a question regarding a song.

But i gulped down several glasses of red wine and was seriously drunk when me and my friends left :-)

He's just crap basically. Nothing to despise apart from undeserved popularity for someone so average music-wise.

This might have been posted somewhere before, but those with Sky Anytime might be interested in checking out Jarvis Cocker: Songbook, which was shown on SkyArts last week (might be HD only unfortunately) and is available to watch (on sky anytime) right now.

Basically, Jarvis talks to some interviewer about his influences and certain background inspirations as well as playing an acoustic set. It was quite fun.

I used to have the Daily Mirror's 'Justice For Jarvis' t-shirt that they did. Not that I particularly read the paper, but I saw the t-shirt and thought it was quite cool at the time.

Sadly now residing in some charity shop, I expect.....

I guess that means you don't know anything about it either? Wink Is it sold out or are the tickets not on sale yet? (I assume the latter ...) And, more importantly, will there be more??? After only playing in Hamburg and Cologne last time he can't just play in Hamburg this time!!!

I was waiting at Portsmouth Harbour station the other day and saw a train that was going to Brighton. That's as close as I've been to Brighton.

Doesn't Nick Cave live in Brighton? You could spot him a mile off amongst the blue rinse brigade!

I've never spotted him! then again, I don't spend that much time in town. The only "celeb" I've seen on a regular basis was Derek Jamieson, but he moved out ages ago.

Oh yes, the Ewwwbank! We've all seen and attempted to ignore him... He really is an arrogant ...errrr.... person. Zoe and Fatboy live about a mile from me, and they're great, friendly and often out and about. Never spotted t'other one though...

I like Brighton. The first time I went was with a friend from Holland. We got off the train and saw a naked (bar a small loincloth) man leading another man (dressed as a cat) around on a lead. She said "It's like I never left home".
