Bit trainspottery this but I just noticed on the Absent Friends vinyl single that 'FA Townhouse' is scratched into the inner groove.

This prompted me to look at my other (limited) TDC vinyl for similar stuff.

CHBB didn't have anything other than serial numbers.

Becoming more like Alfie had: 'Neil@Masterpiece'

Indulgence No2 side C had:'Excess=Access' and 'Orlake'
Whilst side D had: 'Over Endulge' and 'Orlake'

Surely there are others, what are they and anyone know what they refer to?

(Apologies if this has been done before, just give us a link if it has ta!)

Very Happy

I wondered about Orla, but Orlake and Damont are both pressing plants. I like the Bed and Breakfast one though. Smile

"James" did some great ones on their early vinyl (Jimone, Village Fire etc...) I've not got any DC Vinyl to hand, but remember noticing in a similar trainspotting fashion - particularly the ORLAKE one springs to mind.

Due to the way they're made, picture discs are unlikely to have anything on them. It's best to look at twee little indie releases.

I just dug out my original vinyl copy of October, and it strangely just says "Sleeve sold seperately"... Question

On an entirely unrelated note, I just dug out "Timewatching" to check if it matched up there, and there's two copies.

Now I know I promised to send one to someone absolutely ages ago and completely forgot. If you remind me who you were, I'll do it post-haste.

(Although the album was called Exposition; October was the band name)

Nah. Flip's boasting about his U2 collection again.

EDIT: how odd that looks out of sequence.

I bought the Bill Bailey DVD today. His sketch where there's a technical malfunction on a U2 tour had me in stitches.

Brilliant wasn't it? We watched 'Bewilderness' the other day and I'm afraid to say there was barely a titter to be had. Shows how much he's improved over the last couple of years.

He used to have a really great little website which seems to have vanished. There's fragments of it kicking around, like this:

Further googling has revealed that Townhouse is a pressing plant/studio as well.

Anyone checked the SFTW 7"?

...or do I need to don a conical hat and stand in a corner for being gullible?

From t'internet:

All Your Base Are Belong To Us
The phrase "All Your Base Are Belong to Us" is from a Japanese video game called Zero Wing. It was a bad translation that turned into a joke among gamers. It now appears on many websites having nothing to do with video games.
