That's too difficult! TDC is typically the band who produces very brilliant songs and is constant. There's not bad album, not bad song.

Here my top 5, Monday the 14th of March, 4:33 p.m., :

Something For The Week-End
Your Daddy's Car
Tonight We Fly
If...
ex-aequo : Three Sisters / Tailspin

so, finally here is my 5 least favorites list :

1. The Dogs and The Horses
2. Songs of love
3. Gin Soaked Boy
4. Generation sex
5. Note to Self/Lost property/Eye of the Needle...

In fact in these three last ones when I like the lyrics I don't enjoy the music, when I enjoy the melody I find the lyrics weak, but most of all I find it difficult to listen to them one after the other
(should mix them maybe, try the music of "Lost property with "Eye of the Needle" lyrics ?)
except if I wanna fall into deep sleep...

Dommage, there are some rare pearls on "Regeneration".

1. Come Home Billy Bird (The concept and the video ia absolutely hsyterical.)

2. Absent Friends (Because it's a mellow song with lots of depth. My favorite line in the whole song is about how "Laika flew throught the inky blue.")

3. Certainty of Chance (Because the music is so somberly serious coupled with Neil's dark and dramatic press conference performance on the video.)

4. National Express (The song is so bloody catchy and Neil looks so in character.)

5. Tie betweeen Mutual Friend (because it's intense) and Imaginary Friend (the tune is catchy and who could resist that little banjo in the background going "binka binka binka binka binka binkity binka." It sounds to Joby Talbot.

Honorable Mention also goes to Neil's rendition of So Long and Thanks for All the Fish from HHG2G.

Well there you have it.

1. The Dogs and the Horses

I'm sure everyone has stopped looking at this thread by now, but I wanted to write these down just to see if I could decide on 5 favourites, OK in no particular blah blah blah.....

The Summerhouse
Something For The Weekend
Sunrise
Certainty of Chance
Our Mutual Friend

Not a bad list, I think I would be quite happy if I was on a desert island and these were the only songs I could ever listen to....

That was also the song (and its music video, where Neil, in pyjamas, alternately dances in the hospital aisle and then pokes fun at his black nurse's bottocks as he sings "... when your arse is the size of a small country!"... as far as I can rememeber) that introduced me to TDC. Yeah I agree with you, it's indeed very catchy--no wonder it's Neil's biggest hit yet.

Hmmmm, it is a bit tough to say what my 5 fave tracks are, but I'm just gonna go off the cuff with this one:

1) Eye of the Needle
2) Girl Least Likely
3) The Summer House
4) Tonight We Fly
5) Lucy (demo version)

Yeah, I guess that'll have to do for now...

You know I've listened to one of "National Express"'s live versions and I love it when the whole audience is singing along with Neil! (He urges them, "Louder!... A little louder!... C'mon!.... Sing it!)

Right now...

I've decided to slow things down a bit...

1. The Wreck Of The Beautiful (now has a place of my top 10 fave TDC songs... eerily fascinating... still obsessed by that "Maybe I heard nothing at all" bit!)
2. Festive Road (it's very short but so what?)
3. Leaving Today (makes me weep)
4. Neptune's Daughter (has a wistfully romantic feel)
5. Mastermind (reflective and meditative)

*sigh*
