Clips of all the DCs videos are being added to the Media section of this site. Most are already up and the rest will be added over the coming few days. Full length videos are being added to the Inner Circle section at the same time.
This is the first time we have been able to host all The Divine Comedy's videos here as a permanent feature, so do go and have a look Smile

Great stuff Claire! And my offer of photos from the Palladium gig still stands- please let me know whether you'd like them when you get a sec (I appreciate how busy you are, just don't want you to forget!) Smile I'd love to share them with other fans on the official site.

Super, thanks Claire! I've not seen any of the videos prior to Regeneration before (well, apart from Gin Soaked), so this is a treat.

What chance of them appearing on the DVD release?

No, I can't!

It's the same as if you would tell Neil that, because he has an Apple too.

Is that two Mac users who can't play the videos now? Surely not!

The videos are brill - the 20 min regen visual record is great.

Right, managed to, ahem, download the videos now. Has to be said, the CoC one is utter class! Most of them I can take or leave (the SFTW video seems entirely out of context with the song itself) but that CoC one captures the atmosphere of the song perfectly.

Got to say the Alfie video is brilliant.

First time I've seen a lot of them too. Didn't someone put them up to download on here ages ago?

OK, got some professional assistence for this. (The following statements are not by me, but by computer experts):
It turns out the links indeed don't open by clicking on them. For example, what says it is a Real Player link ends up some ASF-file. Why this isn't released in a standard form, is a mystery. The Mac can't help it if what is offered to him isn't in correct form.
For anyone who can't play it, here's a way: Click on the Broadband-Link, save the Link there and then paste the URL into your RealOne Player.

Yeah, there does seem to be something a bit odd with those links like Jana says. I don't even have Real Player (or its codecs) on this machine, yet I seem to be able to play all the modem-friendly 'RealPlayer' versions (They open in WMP instead.) Which suggests that the links actually point to the WMP versions instead. On the other hand, I can't play any of the broadband RealPlayer versions, which suggests they are set up correctly, and it's just my lack of Real Player that's the problem.

Anyway, it's no problem to me, cos I'm only interested in the WMP versions. I was just curious to see what was going on, that's all.

I am getting something now, I can download them with a series of seemingly random events on my keyboard, the videos are in freeze frame, but I have high hopes it will be better on my computer at work. Thanks for the help jana

I think my connection is too slow too. Can't seem to be able to download them, but I'm sure I'll figure it out.

"You could always buy a PC!"

Buy a PC?
who would do that?
A Mac is a hundred times better, cos they make the software and the hardware.
A close second is a PC running Linux, which i am using now (Mozilla is infinitely better than Internet Explorer, works in Windows, and is available to download free, so get it now!!)
Unfortunately, I have to dual boot the system with a Windows (choke!) partition so I can play computer games and watch stuff like the videos and other Microsoft-biased stuff.

Sorry - couldn't resist a rant. It's just so annoying.
Loads of people use a Mac, but everything is still optimised for W*****s.

Hats off to Linux, but wouldn't fancy trying to play WMV in it though. Smile

Ummm, just wondering if anyone might PM how I could get the videos to, ahem, run from the hard disk. I'm thinking of the bandwidth, don't want to slow down the Board with repeated viewings, honest! Wink

Well you've somewhat undermined your anti-PC stance by confessing that you're using one right now Razz
