Divine Comédie

Ne pas se fier aux apparences. Neil Hannon a beau avoir l'air tristounet et un peu anémique en photo, sur scène, il déploie une incroyable énergie et un humour bien d'Outre-Manche. On se demande surtout comment peut sortir d'un petit bonhomme pareil - sorte de lutin sorti d'un film fantastique - une voix pareille, ronde et puissante. Ajoutez un Mons Orchestra parfait pour accompagner ses chansons, une salle tout à fait adaptée et une première partie en demi-teinte: on comprendra que les Irlandais de The Divine Comedy n'ont eu aucune peine à conquérir le public du Cirque royal, totalement sous le charme. Avec sa voix de «crooner» (qui n'est pas sans rappeler celle de David Bowie par moments) et son subtil sens théâtral, Neil Hannon plonge le public dans une ambiance de comédie musicale. «Generation Sex», «Come home Billy Bird», «Tonight we fly», «National Express» et «Absent Friends» en rappel: le voyage pop-baroque fait escale dans ses différents albums (hormis «Regeneration»). Jubilatoire d'un bout à l'autre.

Can you put (or send me) LeavingToday for i'm re-working the songs (editing et al) & now i've cut the intro to OMFriend apparently (which is on LToday)
