I'd like to see Belgium again, the memories have dimmed in the intervening 20 years.

Here's what, witchy woo I'll have a look at your flights.
Your accommodation, obviously, will be free.
Which leaves you to pay the ticket...I'm sure you're willing to do that for neil

It would be easier if it were later in the year. If there's any more Belgian gigs late 2004/early 2005, I'll definitely look into it. Yes Yes

I'm kinda hoping he'll accidently be doing New York when I'm there*, that way he can truly think I'm a stalker.

*yup, it's booked! wooohoo

I think, btw, that Botanique moved their Nuits Botanique from september to May especially for Neil.

Sure, with my tremendous discipline there's still loads left, come over and you can have some.

Sad Sad Sad Sad
Apparently there's two other acts on, which means TDC will probably be playing just over an hour like during Les Nuits of 2001 Sad

Goddamnit!

2 support acts don't necessary mean the main act's set will be shorter. Claire also mentioned in another thread that Brussels would be a full (orchestra-accompanied) concert.
I'm still betting on a 90' thing, i feel it. Wink

I'd love to wish it's true but the thing with DC's last nuits Botanique performance was that it took them so much time to get the stage ready after that shittyshitty band 'the cranes' had performed. And seeing he's with the Mons Orchestra now...
Also, I dunno if Le Cirque has a curfew (it would seem very un-Belgian but if there's other stuff going on...). Or maybe, the stage is big enough to install everything for the orchestra and let what's-their-faces perform on the first five meters.
That would be a solution.

Btw, Lazarus, how was the holiday? And...are you gonna dress poshly?

I think the stage size allows first acts to perform with the main act's instruments behind. I'll check out tonight as i'm going there precisely.
As for clothes, i thought prices at Galeries Lafayette were already in good old belgian francs Shocked
I've bought a bit os street/sportswear though.

I just adore this picture of Neil.

Tomorrow night, enjoy the concert.
Afterwards, would someone please tell Neil to come to the US soon.

myself, cjmacs, msboyd, jason, sixofone, sheepy, theatrical winks, Mr. Charles, gigi, Billy Bob, so_ real and a few that I've missed in the US...sorry... would be so happy. Really happy. Undeniably, irrefutably happy.

WHAT!!?? YOU LIAR.
HOW DARE YOU SPEAK SUCH UTTER NONSENSE.

~One must never assume that Universal* does not know these things.
One must never consider her comments ignorant and then expect to escape unharmed.
That's downright foolish you know.
Your punishment will be delivered shortly. Quick, run like the wind.~

Oh wait. Maybe this comeback is better.

People no longer dress like that, u know.

Except for maybe Starsky or Hutch. Including the remake guys. Wink

Thanks for passing on the message to Neil.

Bardi Johansson, from Bang Gang, released some weeks ago a very nice album with french singer Keren Ann on the vocals, very nice project called Lady Bird. He would have probably been a better support act with his Lady Bird project.
Does anybody know about yesterday rehearsals at the Cirque Royal ???
I know neil was rehearsing yesterday with Mons Orchestra.
Hope the gig will be as good as dublin one.
Think even better ....
Hope Neil will be back later this year with the trio in a small venue from the Botanique.

An update on the Brussels show for you: The set will be a straight-through performance of 90 mins (so there's no intermission). The Booklovers will not be included in tonight's show.

Have a great time all of you who are going. Smile

Oh and here are a few pics. Bear with me, I'm still triying to get used to the camera.
