No point telling us what's in it love.
That helps nobody.
We need to see these things.
Just get your arse over to the scannation section and do it if you don't mind.

I've just been given a new toy at work: a rather super duper uber posh scanner.

Shame I don't have the magazine.

Where does this Hot Press magazine come from? Is it only available from little Indie outlets or something?

Er, Coupe, if you want to save yourself the troube of typing it up, you could take a look at the Press forum, where I typed the review out a couple of weeks ago... [*sob* Why do I bother? ] But by all means scan in the pie pic.

Mr Nude, Hot Press is a long-running Irish music magazine. In terms of locating it in the U.K., I think airboy paul said he found an issue in the Virgin Megastore, so you might have some luck finding it there. They also have a website.

I don't usually do singles, but I managed to pick up both CD versions from Virgin last night. The two track was only £1.99 and the 3 Track with video was £2.99. Loving all the songs

Are you sure Coupe didn't buy them all? Smile

Message from Pooper: Manchester HMV have sold out of the 'Girl Least Likely' CD and she's now bought 5 copies of the 7" (one of which I nicked). Merry Christmas Neil.

Awwww. Soz Lilypod. Don't cry.

*hug*

She doesn't get chance to be here often, so she probably just didn't realise. I didn't realise, and I'm here all the time, so that makes me the complete doofus. You have permission to beat me.

This avatar is just to confuse Mr Nude (see my earlier post on page 2).
I did have it first Absolute Power, so I'm not changing it (it's too much trouble!). Maybe we have to sort this out at Liverpool since we're on the same row. I know - the one that looks most like the avatar gets to keep it - that's it I win.!
And I still haven't got CHBB!!! My hairdresser (who gets p'eed off with me talking about DC all the time) told me he saw it in HMV at Crystal Peaks (about 25 mins from my house) so I might have to go there for it, although tomorrow I shall be making my daily trip into Virgin to bug them yet again about it.

Did Virgin sell out then, or just not get it in at all?

Well unlikely as I think my girlf might have something to say about it. Would kinda like to meet some of you guys before the gig, if not to screw but to say hello to. Not sure Mrs AP2B would have it. She's embarrassed enough I like DC without me admitting to wanting to meet a bunch of hardcore DC fans before the gig she's *so* looking forward to.

Maybe I should dump her.

I've tried that already, giving her a 'obtained' copy of AF a few weeks ago, so she could train herself for the gig.

Three weeks later...

'So have you listened to the CD I gave you?'

'Yes.'

'And?'

'It's already got my flatmates worried over my taste. ** said "what the **'s that shite?", the new Divine Comedy album. "oh, well enjoy the concert".

'I like tracks 4, 7, 8 and 10. I tend to skip over the others'.

'Oh'.

Think I might at least sleep around for kicks.

Yey, we'll meet yer before the gig, AP, and forego the screw if its gonna get you into trouble.
You can prob see from my happy mood that I got CHBB from Virgin. Had to ask yet again - 3 times!. Dippy woman looked on computer and announced they'd only ever had one DC single in stock 'Lucy' and she'd never heard of them - well qualified for that job then! Anyway, after another search they found it, it was under 'Compilation Albums' (?)
I made the same remark as the other day - that how can anyone buy it if they can't see it, but the guy just scowled at me this time. He said 'we;'ve sold 2 copies' meaning 'well it's that shite it's only sold 2 copies' so I said
' gosh! but there's only 2 of us in the Sheffield convention so who could the other one be?!!' at which he thought I was being facetious and pulled a face. Not sure I like him as much now! Dippy woman said 'are you a fan then?'
Words fail me.

I doubt she was even right about that, since I thought "Lucy" was a mail-order release only sold through Setanta? When I tried to get the 4-track CHBB from Woolworths, I was tempted to ask them why they only had the 2-track when I knew there was a 4-track as well (and that 90% of people buying the cheaper one would probably want to get the other as well.) But it's hopeless arguing with people who's mentality is if-it's-not-on-the-shelf-then-we-don't-have-it. *sigh*

BTW I feel I should have an avatar by now, but I've been largely put-off by the thought that I'll pick one that is associated with someone regular here, and seeing people argue about who owns which avatar (whether it's in jest or not) just confirms my fears. Guess I'll have to make my own...

There's loads and loads not used - don't be too worried bout picking one someone already has. Tis just nicer for everyone to have their own, as it makes associating people to their usernames easier...
