Sadly, no as the Maida Vale sessions are not audience-attended. It's a closed set-up. I have already asked this, in case there was any chance we could get peeps in... but no.

Just a reminder that Neil will be on the Radio 2 show 'Ulster Rock. This will be starting in a couple of mins.

From the Radio 2 website:

Neil Hannon on Northern Ireland music "I think if there is a sound northern Irish musicians make I suppose to anybody else it's the wonderful sound of confusion and but maybe being happy with that confusion as well, it's sort of you know polarity can be cool. You just sort of glorify in all the different sides of the coin. All the sides of the coin not two".

The soundtrack includes: Them - Baby Please Don't Go, Van Morrison - Astral Weeks LP, Thin Lizzy - Whiskey in the Jar, The Undertones - Teenage Kicks, Stiff Little Fingers - Alternative Ulster, Gary Moore - Parisian Walkways, Feargal Sharkey - A Good Heart, Ash - Shining Light, Therapy? - Going Nowhere, The Divine Comedy - Something for the Weekend, Snow Patrol - Run.

I didn't really expect much more, they are trying to cover a hell of a lot of artists in the hour.

Well, it's a nicer and classier insult than 'prat'.

I feel all hyper now! This might also be linked to me playing the live version of 'Europop' on my comp, though.

Thank you, www.tom! Smile I've given up trying to access BBC on either the pooter or the radio. The radio keeps 'setting' itself and I can never seem to access the streaming programmes online.

The four and a half minutes of Neilish stuff is here - I reckon it should all make sense, even out of context...
