Question for anyone:

When was the last time Neil did a gig? Of any type? Where was it? Must have been a while ago.

A friend of mine asked me earlier how I was going to recognise all these people I've never met before tomorrow. I said that I just would, I did do in Edinburgh. They'll be the bunch of people that look really excited and happy! Smile

I think Neil's last serious live appearance was a St Patrick's thing day thing in London last year, wasn't it (Witchy and Gilders were there)? There was also his two songs just him and piano on BBC N. Ireland at Children In Need.

The last real gigs would have been the tour with Ben Folds around October 2001 I guess.

Goodness, yes, I'd forgotten about the St Patrick's festival in London last year! He only played about 4 songs (I think) but it was an absolutely lovely day all the same.

Anyone who arrives in Glasgow mid-afternoon can meet up at Costa Coffee in Royal Exchange Square as of 3.30pm. Around 5.20pm, the peeps in Costa will make their way across to the *main* meet-up venue, Mono, in King's Court. There is a large carpark just across the road from here, which hopefully should be free and empty by this time in the evening.

Bamboo.

Well, I will certainly try to get along to Mono, but I think I will have cigar in the splendour of the Bier Halle Republic beforehand! I mean, coffee? Shocked Confused

Underwear is good. I mean, there is nothing like the free and easy nature of an unfurnished basement, but I generally like to leave that to the summertime.

i just got a phone call asking if i'd won tickets for divine comedy tonight, and he asked for my name, date of birth, and email address.
so either they're ringing up winners to check for tonight, or else someone is being naughty and trying to do some unknown powers to steal my tickets!

*dances* I'm here!!!!!!!!!!!!! All alone and 4 and a half hours early, but here. And excited as hell! Rowan's managed to book the hotel that is on the highest point of Glasgow and you have to climb up a HUGE hill to get to it! Literally, you climb this hill for hours then once you've got to the hotel you can see straight down the other side of the hill for miles!!! And I have aheavy suitcase. But nevermind! Shall be fun trying to drag her up it later when she's drunk..ahem. Smile WOO! I'm excited! I've been here 3 hours already!! Though most of that time was spent climbing hills! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOO!!! I even have a clean pair of knickers on!!!!

Once I've done something with my ridiculous desperately-in-need-of-a-cut hair and had a cup of darjeeling, I shall make my way down into town for foods, Barfly-reconnaisance and meetings.

Yours may be long, but mine is just tatty. Bleurgh. Just styling it in the mirror, I realised that if I brush it down it now totally covers my eyes. It's nice to have it long, but it's so damn tatty!

Actually, I must remember to buy some mints: I intend to get a quick bite to eat from a tacky fast food restaurant where the chips are rank but they sell root beer. The burgers are great but leave me with terrible halitosis.
