Lol! Flattery is fine, but I still may be scared on Thurs! Rowan will have to encourage me. I fear she is too much of a good girl though. The mic if silver (I don't have any silver clothes, bugger) and quite big! Hehe! Also I'll have to piss about with it in the toilets before hand and then I'll lose my place in the front row. Sad Also I may get chucked out!!! *weeps* It doesn't have any flashing lights on it though, which is a start. And it's a brilliant mic!! A bit too brilliant to go down my knicks, I fear, as something unexpected may be caught on tape. Eeek.

I may just leave the photos to you then. If you'll let me have copies. Me take it it's a digital. Yours'll be better anyhow, having the height and what not. Mine'd just end up of peoples heads.

Can we also have a deal of no scary snaphappy photos of BB-ers please. It makes me all nervous.

Not a digital camera, sorry, not rich enough! In fact, it'll most likely be a disposable, as I tend to be rather hard on cameras when I've been drinking.

Nevertheless, I will be smuggling it in one way or the other and attempting to take half-decent photos with it.

Now, disposable I feel is the sensible option. If it gets taken off you it doesn't really matter. Crumbs. Do you reckon I should take my digital? Is anyone else? We need some pics for the BB. Anyone got any decent hiding places? (i.e. big chunky coat).

As you can see I'm now beginning to panic about stupid things.

They don't tend to be bothered by normal cameras in these places, just proper ones that could be used for commercial purposes (although we might love our own snaps, they're hardly good enough to go in the next NME).

Anyway, how about a re-cap on what's happening tomorrow? Who's going now, on who's tickets, where we're all meeting and when, plans for stalki... admiring Neil, etc...?

Eek, Coupe, posting here on the website that you've got ideas about taping the show isn't all that bright!! Shocked We all know what you look like and you'll get stopped. That goes for anybody thinking about recording the gig - you're not supposed to and there will be staff on the lookout to stop it. So whatever you're thinking of doing that might be not allowed, don't post it here!!!

On a separate note, if people want to take photos of the gig that would be great! I can post pictures up here if anyone wants to email them to me. As I won't be able to go to the gig myself if a BBer could do a review or just some photos of the evening for others who couldn't attend I would be very pleased Smile Thanks!

Claire, how about you get me a note saying 'please let this lady in with her camera by order of Neil'. Then it won't be confiscated. Thankyou please.

Right, we've had it allowed that cameras can be brought in to the gig and used. The only thing I will ask is that you are considerate to Neil. It is a very small venue and lots of photography will be off-putting to him, so please use your discretion.

With regards to recording the show: recording equipment is forbidden as standard at concerts so we're not threatening you, just stating how things have to be. In asking you not to post up on this website any plans you may have we are in fact asking not to be put into a compromising position over the legality of this behaviour. So give us a break!

I propose Copy Protection for gigs.

You let the people in, and play the gig.
Then you mow every last one of them down with a Gatling gun. Then search the still warm and twitching corpses for any recording equipment and destroy it...

I propose copies of gigs to be available for sale to fan club members! Hell, it'd keep up all happy, we'd get quality recordings and the band could make a bit (although not massive amounts) of cash from it!

Ok, here is the final, conclusive, utterly all-encompassing post regarding what you need to know for tomorrow's gig.

People going (as far as I'm aware of, anyway):

Airboy Paul (own ticket)
Benny J (eBay ticket)
Casanova (own ticket)
Coupe (own ticket)
Dietrick (Luvly's tickets)
Gilderoy Lockheart (Witch's ticket)
Hannoncom (own ticket)
Jennifer (www.tom's ticket)
Paul (Witch's ticket)
Macannister (own ticket)
Ma Flys (airboy's ticket)
Rowan (coupe's ticket)
www.tom (own ticket)
Witch (eBay ticket)

Click for Glasgow map

Anyone who arrives in Glasgow mid-afternoon can meet up at Costa Coffee in Royal Exchange Square as of 3.30pm. Around 5.20pm, the peeps in Costa will make their way across to the *main* meet-up venue, Mono, in King's Court. There is a large carpark just across the road from here, which hopefully should be free and empty by this time in the evening.

Barfly - waiting area
Barfly - gig area

Barfly doors open at 7.30pm. Some people may want to start queueing *very* early, I suspect most of us will aim to be waiting outside for around 7pm onwards. Glasgow's weather forecast for tomorrow predicts that it won't be too cold (although it may get chilly after sunset) but there is a good chance of rain. Bring a brolly! I can't find any information as to when the gig actually finishes, but there is a club night held there afterwards, so I'm presuming it won't be too late. Cameras are allowed, but any other form of 'preserving the moment' is entirely at your own risk. 'Nuff said.

Those people who are getting public transport back to Edinburgh after the gig - the last train is 11.30pm from Queen Street and the last bus is 11.59pm from Buchanan Street Bus Station.

Those people who are staying in Glasgow and are up for a bit of a night - we'll be making our way up to Bamboo.

Best wishes to all going to Glasgow. I'm supremely jealous but you all throughly deserve it.

Have safe journeys all, and I'll have a prize waiting for the attendee who discovers the most imaginative place in which to smuggle a minidisc recorder.

Have fun.

An Absent Friend. Or git if you prefer.
