Rowan - drink milk or eat lettuce or eat some turkey (both foods have chemicals that make you slightly sleepy, the milk has a soothing effect). Sniff some lavender oil, if you have it, that'll calm you down.

Thanks for the advice, Dr. Woo. Can't do the turkey for being one of those vegetarians and I don't think we've got any lettuce Sad But I can manage the milk thing. I have a glass in front of me right now. Is sleepy a good thing? I can go to bed for an hour if needs be.

Thankfully, my mates now offered to drive tonight. Poor blokes got to drive about 30 miles out of his way to pick me up.

Ahhhh well, I suppose I am worth it Wink

There's a good chance whatever cold remedy you've taken has some caffeine, hence the feeling jittery (especially if you've taken a wee bit more than you should!). It'll wear off, don't worry!

Hmm... I can come and stay with a friend in Glasgow. Is Glasgow difficult to get back to after a night in Edinburgh? Anyone know?

And I can't seem to find anything about The Divine Comedy on that link on the news page. Am I being thick?

Hi, Mr Nude!

You can get back to Glasgow via a bus from the centre of Edinburgh that goes to Buchanan Street bus station in Glasgow at 11pm and 11.59pm. It takes about an hour and five minutes.

There's also trains that leave at 11pm and 11.30pm from Edinburgh Waverley (same trains go through Haymarket a few mins later) to Glasgow Queen Street, taking just under an hour.

If you turn up early on the Tuesday, we could take you to the marvellous Armstrong's clothes shop! Very Whoish... Yes Yes

Heehee, unfortunately I fear that having bought tickets for the gig and for the fare from Devon to Glasgow I'd be absolutely stoney broke! I wouldn't have a pot to p**s in!

Mr. Nude--------> DC USHER HALL INFO
Scroll down a bit and you will see the TDC concert information.

I've seen a show in that venue. Sat first row balcony. From my little touristy perspective, the place was very nice.

Having said that, he should be doing a Belgian gig anyway.
where would it be? Cirque Royal*? Elisabethzaal*? (seeing Phil's mentioning Concert halls)

Please dearest Claire, let us know quickly, that way I know if I have to save up for Thalys tickets...

*clicky for more information

I dunno if if he will be doing Brussels with the 16 musicians. These look like a series of "one-off", if I may say. I don't think he's gonna bring that show all over europe.
Anyway I'm gonna drive to Paris, so if u fancy a ride.
I think I'll let the car somewhere in a parking and take the metro to the Grand Rex.

But you're right, if there's a Brussels date we'd rather know it soon cos I don't want to book tickets for Paris if he does Brussels with that line-up.

I can't imagine what it must be like having to sit down for a Divine Comedy concert. I'd just have to go for the front row and piss off the people behind me by standing up through the whole thing! But I can't make Edinburgh, so it's pretty irrelevent.

Grand Rex is a really nice venue indeed. I especially like the seats!! It's like watching your favourite band live in a leather armchair.
I'll be there!

Precisely.. and if people from other countries can go to the trouble to learn English, we should at least attempt to do the same!

Besides - French is a beautiful language, and everyone should learn it.

So, most likely Royal Festival Hall for London then? I reckon so..

Anyone have any tips on making sure you get good seats close to the stage or is it just a case of getting on the phone quickly as soon as they go on sale?

Hahahaha! Neil has brought you all into my sphere of influence! Brush off that multicoloured scarf, Gilders!

Witchy, get your corset out! Tom, bring your Orkney charm!

Soon we will hold them in a web of taste and evil so strong they'll think that they've been beaten around the head with an old Brie...

Given that the touring page mentions April *&* May, I suspect any other tour dates with be after the Edinburgh and Paris gigs.
