We are delighted to announce that The Divine Comedy will be playing a very special series of shows in April and May 2004. For these events Neil will be accompanied by a 16-piece ensemble. Tracks from the new DC album, 'Absent Friends', will be aired alongside much loved favourites. Neil also plans to take advantage of this versatile lineup - which will include string, brass, woodwind and more - to play some rarely heard songs taken from the Divine Comedy back catalogue. It promises to be a truly unique experience!

Not Neil.

Perhaps 'patience' and 'all good things come to those that wait' need to be added to my vernacular. On the other hand, I have this thing commonly called A PASSPORT.

I think here in NYC we could rustle up a 16-piece ensemble...I understand we have a few musicians in the city. There are plenty of interesting venues as well...

C'mon, how about it? Please?

Very Happy

I'm the same. I could hardly be further from both London and Edinburgh but still be in England, and I can't make either of the announced dates! London on the April 24th weekend though would be absolutely perfect.

Yeah, but when I pass Birmingham on the way to London I know I'm just about halfway there! But I should be near London that weekend. Of course, sods law says it'll be on a weekend where I'm somewhere else, or the middle of the week when I've got lectures.

Is the Usher Hall seated, Tom? Do we need to get tickets as soon as to guarantee good seats? I'm already beginning to panic!

If he doesn't play an Irish date with that sixteen-piece ensemble, and him living here and all...

*lips starts to quiver*

I don't want to have to get on a plane.

Usher Hall is indeed seated. Gildy and I saw Bill Bailey in there a while back. Try to avoid the front seats that are off to the side, you won't see much. That's were we had been stuck, except a very nice but odd couple who were sat in the very centre swapped with us, on account of the bloke's nervous disposition. Confused

The Usher Hall isn't always seated - they took the seats out for the likes of The Flaming Lips, so if it's wanted they may well take them out for Neil - I'll ask as soon as I can though. The box office may well be able to help - www.usherhall.co.uk.

Please dearest Claire, let us know quickly, that way I know if I have to save up for Thalys tickets...

How will I know which seats to avoid? Tom, cock, can you get a seating plan of the place or summat? I assume I'll be coming up on my own, so who else is going and can I get my ticket with yours then I'm not sat on my own. Aaarrrgghghghg. Panic. Panic, Panic. Don't want to be a billy no mates etc. etc.

Hee hee. Erm....Best check I can afford this first Embarassed Confused

Ah, Paris, city of love, romance and TDC.

Careful you don't get carried away, Pip, or you might start a whole new era in smugness!

Room for a small one? Wink

I'm only little and you can put me in the boot. I realise your boot is tiny but I am quite bendy.
