Bowie Prom On BBC4/6Music/Radio 3

We're very proud that Neil will be performing in the Bowie Prom tonight at the Royal Albert Hall!
Neil will join the line-up of Marc Almond, John Cale, Laura Mvula, Amanda Palmer, Anna Calvi, Paul Buchanan, Conor O’Brien and countertenor Philippe Jaroussky.

Neil said: "I was 8 or 9 years old when David Bowie burned his way onto my retina, dressed in a terrifying clown outfit up to his waist in fluorescent ocean, singing easily the strangest pop song I'd ever heard. I've probably spent my whole life since trying to be even half as creative or original. I'm delighted that the BBC Proms have given me the opportunity to pay my dues to a colossus of modern culture."

The artists have come together to celebrate the life and work of David Bowie by reimagining his catalogue with fresh interpretations of classic works spanning his legendary career. There will be performances of Bowie's most famous works, plus some lesser known songs. It's going to be an exciting journey!

The Prom will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 and 6Music, and shown on BBC4 from 10.15 pm (UK)

BBC 6Music - http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music
BBC Radio 3 - http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio3

The programme will be available on the BBC iPlayer after broadcast.
