...well the forum that is, was worried it might get the push from the revamped website. I know there isn't much activity in here these days but I still have great affection for it.

New site looks nice by the way :-)

Hi Geordie!

The boffins are working on the new website, and it's business as usual on the forums.

Just thought I'd pop in and say that last night was bloody brilliant. Dear Lord and Father easily in the top 10 most beautiful things I've ever heard. Congrats to the two of you in the choir too- it was ace.

It seems that this place is, alas, mostly dead then.

So, a farewell salutation may be appropriate—for the fine discussions and good friends that I've made through here.

I love how it's 'the bulletin board'. The internet was relatively new so the reference point was 'analogue' - like something hanging on the wall of an old church hall (where the congregation all, strangely, loved TDC).

Halcyon days. No 'like' or 'retweet' buttons. Nobody posting pictures of rainbows asking you to 'share' if you love your grandmother who 'is always there, come rain or shine'. When it was a legal requirement to correct spelling and the only way to watch a video was to get Woodshed Monster to burn a copy on cd-rom and post it.

Please share this post if you have a member of your family that you are related to. 90% won't because they're awful, dreadful people.

Perhaps some new avatars would renew some interest in the ol' Board. Ed Miliband would be mine, I never chose one. Never found the right one. Ha. JK I know there's no updates coming on here. Let's pretend I have this avatar.

I was feeling awfully nostalgic this evening and listening to TDC for the first time in years and I thought well, might as well see if the forum is still up. surprised to see it just the way I remembered it, and even more surprised to have remembered my login after all this time!
