I am of the opinion that if you want to listen to Tom Waits, you should probably do just that. So no, I haven't.

I think this will have to be next:

Haven't listened to Squeeze for a while either.

Awwww. : )
Is that your usual fare these days?

Let's see. I'm listening to nothing presently but I did hear a really great song in spin class today. The coach wrote the band name and song title down for me.

Band is called Kodo, song is entitled 'Nanafushi.' PERCUSSION, Japanese style. (taiko)
The version I heard can be found on this CD. A remix version of it actually. It's an acquired taste.
Must. Love. Drums.

It can be heard here: http://www.last.fm/music/Kodo/_/Strobe%27s+Nanafushi+%28Satori+mix%29

currently listening to The Huge World of Emily Small by Picadilly Line...

...turned on to it by fellow BBer. Kinda like if Davey Jones made The Who do his bidding.

and, dear me, for some reason ( I think it was "Babylon's Burning" by the Ruts ), I got this out.

RSO's take on punk. Let's hope it doesn't lead to tracking down the movie, which I recall being rather dreadful.
Actually, that may be fun...or maybe not.

It's a good album, actually. There's a guy who sounds like Jarvis, a backing group that sounds like the Pipettes and the lead singer fits the indie rock music style perfectly.

I'm currently listening to the soundtrack to Cinema Paradiso... Very relaxing for a beautifully sunny morning!

Ooo, just seen this and it's very tempting...

Pretty much... If I'm not thinking about something else, I've generally got the theme tune from "Balamory" in my head.

I don't know exactly what they do with childrens TV programmes, but they make them so infectious it's frightening. They kind of get into your head and point blank refuse to leave.

Just finished listening to this at a really rather loud volume. There was a little record fair on in town today. It was just finishing as I dawdled past earlier and in amongst the bits and bobs was a near mint copy of this on vinyl for £6! It can now replace my slightly less 'near mint' copy I got off eBay for rather more a year or two back. Bargain!

Mrs Billybob just came into the room and asked if my record player was broken.

"No, it's okay. That's the way it's supposed to sound..."

Today is the rehearsal of the flypast organised for the 14th of July... So I'm surrounded by the loud roars of military planes and I can stand them anymore!

Sorry I didn't post anything about music here...

I wonder if Sarko will speed down the Champs Elysées as fast as Chirac did in 2005 (my one and only Bastille Day parade experience). It was literally blink and you miss him, his jeep was going that fast.

Er...musique...*scratches head*

I do hope he has mirrored sunglasses on. I suggest that his soundtrack should be:

which is Neon Neon's de Lorean based concept album, and features a song called "Michael Douglas" which has lyrics about mirrored sunglasses. It might be a bit hip for Sarko, though. He'd probably much rather promote Carla's new album.

Ben Fold's Way To Normal Tracklist announced

Effington, baby! I'm also quite pleased about pointing out the song 'Way To Normal' from the 'fake' leak as being the only track which made the leak seem fake, as it's not on the album. This does mean The Bitch Went Nuts is on the album though, and I'm not so keen on that one. Yet. Same goes for now included 'Kylie from Connecticut'. At least Cologne and You Don't Know Me are on it. Roll on September 30th!
