If you are interested in auditioning and becoming part of this extraordinary event, please email: voicelab@southbankcentre.co.uk

Further information from Voicelab:

Pull Out All The Stops: Neil Hannon's Guide To The Organ.
Saturday 22 March 2014, 7.30pm, Royal Festival Hall

The Divine Comedy frontman has created a series of vivid musical scenes for organ and choir which evoke the constriction, the mystery and magic, the boredom, and the hard-won freedoms of a childhood Sunday. The performance will be broadcast on BBC Radio 3, conducted by Rebecca Miller and features organist Tom Bell, Strings of the BBC Concert Orchestra and a Voicelab ensemble.

Voicelab are recruiting an 80-strong ensemble to perform in this special concert, with rehearsals at Southbank Centre in evenings and weekends throughout February and March, led by Lea Cornthwaite.

We are looking for confident singers with a passion for singing contemporary classical music and strong sight-reading skills to take part in this exciting project.

Auditions will be held at Southbank Centre on Saturday 1 February 2014.

Important Notes On Auditions.

We will audition everyone who applies and we welcome all of you to have a go if you would like to!

You must apply for an audition slot by 10am, Monday 27 January 2014 and we will confirm times and venue by Thursday 30 January at the latest.

-Auditions will last for 20 minutes and will be in groups of up to ten people.

-You will be expected to sight-read in the audition.

-You need to prepare an excerpt from a song of your choice lasting 30 seconds to 1 minute to sing alone during the audition.

Neil Hannon's Guide To the Organ is part of the "Pull Out All The Stops" festival, which celebrates the restoration of the Royal Festival Hall organ and its 60th birthday.

Good luck! Smile
