Do people find this version as abominable as most listeners on youtube seem to do?

Thanks, now my ears are bleeding. That was truly horrible! What on earth were they thinking when they made the arrangement? Confused

Oh come on, it's not that bad. OK I've no great wish to listen to it ever again, but it's no worse than the X Factor covers that sell millions here.

I never really thought about it before, but listening to that made me think about Neil's original arrangement, and how it's structured. It seems to me that the song is actually a slow ballad (if you concentrate on the melody line, at least), but the driving piano actually turns it into something completely different. But this cover just goes straight for the cliches that you sense Neil was trying hard to avoid.

I actually bought the album!!!!!!! - BEFORE hearing it. But it has a Randy Newman track I love and Magnetic Fields Book Of Love on it too so thought I was on safe ground. I wasn't!

She's got a nice voice but it's pretty poo imo. It's not like this is uncover-able. (It's a word. Leave me alone) Zambri do a great cover of it.

Good voice, but the subtlety of the original musical arrangement is completely lost I think, and it's a little too fast.
