So where were we? Let's pick up where we left off, at the end of the 90s.
An album I never really got into at the time, though it has some absolute career-highs, like Thrillseeker, Commuter Love and Sunrise.

I love Sunrise, which is my singing-most song in my daily life...
I know the lyric is rather sad but positive, but I like singing it, quite unconsciously.

I also like Generation Sex, well especially its different kinds of live version. Rocks!

Commuter Love is Neil's greatest song so this is an easy choice Very Happy

I've been listening to this album a lot lately, and am having trouble choosing just one.

I've never noticed before how very different each song is from one another. Makes it very difficult to choose, as I feel like Thrillseeker, GS and NE are fantastic songs, witty sing a long types, but then there's Sunrise, TCOC, and Commuter Love, beautiful in thier own unique ways.... And then...oh crap. I'll choose tomorrow...

Agreed! I eventually chose Eric the Gardener, though. But now I feel bad for not choosing Thrillseeker. And Sweden, and Sunrise, and... oh, can't I just vote for them all? Razz

at the moment "The Certainty of Chance".
Not too keen on National Express or Sunrise (lyrically it's a bit too sacharine for me).

Yeah, but that note he does at the end.... I listen to whole song through just for the last few moments...

Not for me! I'll take both songs any time but that's just me. Wink

Sweden for me! At the time when it came out I was studying Swedish at uni and it all seemed quite apt really...

Definitely... it is a very hair-at-the-back of my arms moment. Oooo. It is very hard to choose - my favourites are Eric the Gardener (the way it just builds, and BUILDS), The Certainty of Chance, Thrillseeker (LOVE the drumming by Miggy) and I have a bit of a soft spot for HCTF as it's so damn theatrical! Very Happy

I went for Eric The Gardener, but I swap and change all the time. Each time I listen to ETG though, I love the whole build up - something that just doesn't seem to feature so much in TDC music these days. But it defines that period of TDC for me in one song. I can - and do - listen to it for hours.

I enjoyed Here Comes The Flood until my sister pointed out that it sounded like something out of an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical... which made me sick up a bit.

Very hard to choose... I love Commuter Love, Sunrise, Generation Sex, Thrillseeker, Life on Earth,....... but I picked Life on Earth, just as well as it wasn't doing great in the poll

'Eric the Gardener'?! You people are mad. I went with 'Sunrise' but I regret this choice. I want to pick 'Life on Earth' instead. Sad

I'm surprised at how few votes 'Life on Earth' has got actually. It's a gorgeous song.
