Absent Friends. I think. At the moment. (If it is, then only by the smallest margin!)

I think it should be released as a single, and is seriously up there with National Express and Something For The Weekend in terms of single potential.

Hmm. Pretty much impossible to decide at the moment I think. Might be 'Charmed Life', though. Or 'Happy Goth'. Or the rest.

Happy Goth, though I also like Sticks & Stones.

Mind you, I've only had the chance to listen twice; and that at work.

Thanks PicklePost!

I think My Imaginary Friend, not unlike the rest of the album, is pure unadulterated genius. When I play an AF track when I wanna hear an AF track on Real Jukebox, it's usually that one. It's sheer brilliance. Two minutes and forty five seconds of sheer brilliance. I will be very surprised if it's not a single (and if you accompanying video isn't fabulous they'll need shooting) The 'speak and spell' like vocals spelling out the title of trhe song is also great.

I'm doing coursework and i'm trying to get 'peripatetically' in there somewhere :-D

I love you Neil Hannon.

Alan

My God, I didn't realise that's what those strange noises were. But I've just played it again, and sure enough, they spell out the song title. This gets better and better! Neil Hannon = musical genius.

maybe either come home billy bird, my imaginary friend, or happy goth. possibly charmed life also, that is much better than that live version that were on that tv. i want to say our mutual friend, as it is cool, but it's not as good as the live versions. no.

'Absent Friends'. Then 'Wreck Of The Beautiful', 'Freedom Road' and 'Laika's Theme'.

Do you mean 'Absent Friends' is your second favourite, or that 'Absent Friends' is sniffing at the rear of all the other tracks?!

Tis my second fave, yes - sniffing at the bottom of the sunken Beautiful is what I did mean dear Lilypod. I love it as I would a bouncing puppy - but Wreck of the Beautiful is more like a malevolent cat, hence it won my heart over.

Hope that helps...
